Restaurant Wedding Venue

Let’s face it. For a lot of people, food is the most important and memorable part of any event (wedding or otherwise). So if you choose a restaurant as your venue, food will be the least of your worries. These venues can suit any style of wedding, but often will only accommodate a small number of guests. Unless you search out a really large restaurant, a restaurant wedding venue is far more suitable for small weddings.

Style, however, will be as varied as you could imagine. Opt for high class and elegance for the more upscale, traditional wedding or find a trendy, exposed brick, industrial bar for the event that wants to be a little more quirky. Often restaurant venues will have separate rooms to accommodate events, but sometimes they will expect you to rent out the whole restaurant. Make sure the expectations are clear when you inquire.

Pricing is going to vary greatly with the pricing of the restaurant’s day-to-day service as well as how the restaurant charges for rental. Some spaces will charge a rental fee as well as a price per plate while others will merely give a minimum that you must spend on food and drink. These prices will frequently change by season and by day of the week (since weekends are more high volume for restaurants than weekdays, often the rental fee is higher). And while you’re browsing and deciding on your custom menu or choosing a pre-planned menu option, browse their alcohol selection. Most often restaurants will not allow outside alcohol.
